Two 21-year-olds arrested

Two men were injured after a stabbing incident in Bank Street, Ashford, early today (Tuesday).

One victim, aged 18 received injuries to his thumb and is being treated at East Grinstead Hospital, which specialises in plastic surgery. The other, aged 19, is being treated at William Harvey Hospital.

A bladed weapon was recovered at the scene and two men, both aged 21 and from the town, are in police custody.

Police say they were called at 3.40am and the arrests were made six minutes later.
